My new obsession. Art by my friend, Eddie P!

ANN
Everyone knows I love making old things new...
so when I saw the work that my great friend, Eddie Plachecki, was creating I was ecstatic!
With random pieces of wood, thrift frames and old window panes he has turned photos of family, friends and anything that interest him into these amazing pieces of art.

Check it...

THANG
A memory of an amazing friend that past.

GASSER
Love these colors, the frame, the horse, the halo... ok, I love everything about this!

GAL
Love the movement and colors.

ELLA
Eddie's baby girl, Ella!

Coolest part about this is she wasn't blowing bubbles at all... he added the effect and it looks perfect.

SARAH
Eddie's beautiful wife, Sarah.

I love the added print behind her and the gold clips added to the frame corners.

And this is the little girl in the window pane that I went crazy over. I don't know who she is but I love her...
I had to have one of Doak!

So, I contacted Eddie as soon as I saw this and the creative process started immediately. I've had the best time discussing different ideas with him especially since he can come up with concepts so quickly.

If you are into these as much as I am contact Eddie P:

Side Note:
This was the perfect opportunity to do an updated photo shoot with my babe. I took some photos and sent them to Ed. I will be sure to post what he comes up with.
He will be putting a photo of Doak on a old window pane (44"w x 58"h) to add to our mantel in the two-story family room.

I'm a happy girl!

Baby Kaitlyn comes home... and a few added details!

Last week I posted about baby Kaitlyn's nursery.
Now she is home, healthy and absolutely beautiful!
I had to stop by the house this morning to add some final touches to her room and well, she took over... for the next 5 pics. : )

Baby Kaitlyn...
Doing a little dance!

Lynne's mom made the French poodle crib skirt to match the drapery panels.

Don't worry moms... pillows were just for photos!

Drapery panels from last weeks post.
Drapery panels with added tie backs... so cute!

And there you have it... A very sweet and sophisticated nursery for both baby girl and mom to enjoy!

This piece of art was given to Lynne, Kaitlyn's momma, from Michael, Kaitlyn's dadda!

In short:
The sweet story behind it is that Michael loved it and thought about getting it for Lynne, (before she was even pregnant) but decided to pass...
After some time he knew he had to have it and contacted the artist to purchase the piece. It was sold!
After convincing the artist to created another Michael could finally give this gift to Lynne.
Lynne found out she was pregnant, with a baby girl, and now this precious piece of art turned into a real life love story.

Congrats again...
She is perfect!

Have a good one!

Paris themed Nursery~ Before & After

Before
In Progress

I designed the original space a little over a year ago and when I got the call to turn the guest room into a nursery I was thrilled!!!

Congrats Michael & Lynne on your new baby GIRL!

These are some of the inspiration pieces that brought the new space together!
Note: My client is a lover of animal print, Paris and pink!

You can never have enough pillows!
From custom made pillows (fabs from U-Fab), random finds and a couple existing pillow from the mother-to-be.

We decided on the ALLURE Glider/Recliner in the Silver Microfiber fabric/ White piping from PoshTots. So comfortable and so chic!

The colors in the toss pillow matched it perfectly!

White on white!

I had to put Lynne's zebra print ottoman in the space and it looks perfect. I added a pink round rug to break up the clean white crib and canopy from the crisp white duvet.

Lynne's mother picked out this adorable french poodle fabric from U-FAB and we decided to use it to make drapery panels.

Note: Not only does U-Fab have great fabrics they have custom made drapery services and rods as well. They made these panels and they look amazing!

I found this great piece of art to add a modern twist on such a sweet nursery. We love it!

Lynne had a bunch of great accessories that I was excited to add to the nursery.

Note: The photo above is her and her mother... adorable!

More black and white accents

I added the pink frame and lamp to go on the night stand.

Vintage telephone

Lynne saved these books from when she was a little girl...

Love them!

Finally, I was dying to give them this gift. The black tutu outfit and polka dot purse went perfectly with the room.

The nursery looks adorable and was finished with plenty of time to welcome their new baby girl!

CONGRATS, Michael & Lynne!
I can not wait to meet her.

Have a good one,
Melis
